What Is a Sound Bath?

A sound bath is a meditative experience in which participants are "bathed" in sound waves produced by various instruments, such as singing bowls, chimes, or other percussive tools, played by a practitioner. The purpose of a sound bath is to enhance relaxation, stress relief, and deep meditation through the use of sound vibrations to balance the mind and body. As participants are guided through instrumental soundscapes, the body enters a parasympathetic state, releasing the fight-or-flight response, allowing them to fully relax.
